The International Animal Welfare and Protection Coalition (IAWPC) has noted the unhelpful comments made by Mr Shashi Shanto, the President of the Mauritius Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA), following our recent letter to the Prime Minister of Mauritius, expressing not only our deep concern and condemnation of the cruel methods being employed by the MSPCA in catching and killing both stray and owned dogs on behalf of the Government of Mauritius, but also calling for their immediate end and replacement by more humane methods.
