Point de Vue Mauritius
A new dawn
Ambition and teachery form an explosive combination that can turn into a terrifying nightmare. In fairness towards men of goodwill, one pledges one’s trust to help build one’s country.

Wastage and extravagance
Once more, the Audit Report 2013 has badly criticized the wastage of billion of rupees of taxpayer’s in most of our Government institutions and other of their sub departments.

An analysis
The result of the 2014 General Election invites some comments. It is an election’s result that took all of us by surprise. Even the population, leave alone the politicians, never thought that small political parties like the MSM , PMSD and ML will win a landslide victory. What was the…

Version 2.0

Verdict
No one knows! No political analyst can give us a true forecast of this general election. This general election 2014 is a referendum-election which is different from all past general elections.

An election that may surprise
This forthcoming general election of the 10th December 2014 won’t be an election like other general elections as we had in the past. It will be an election-referendum for a second Republic.

Servir
Pourquoi?

More women in politics
We need to reflect on certain jobs which keep women shy away due to certain complexes. Why is it that many women refrain to take an active part in politics?

The Long Wait
The suspense surrounding the electoral conch-shell is blown. The country goes to the poll on 10th December 2014. Mauritius remains a most fertile ground for investment in the continent of Africa. Political stability in the island has always been on a sound footing.

World Bank and Mauritius
The World Bank position announced recently that it just would not do to “leave-everything-to-the-private-sector” in developing countries. This should be considered a timely eye-opener by particularly Third World governments such as Mauritius.

Potins

We are now on the way to an all important election that will determine the future years of our country. In many ways, this next election is not like previous ones because of what is at stake. The results of the next election will clearly impact the future direction of…

They came, they saw and…
After a long sea voyage that was exhausting they landed at the Ghat, still reeling. They climbed up the steps falteringly looking here and there, aghast and desperately moving and knowing little where they were going and yet they all stood up and kept praying. At the crack of dawn…

Postmortem
Any political observer will be astounded to note that at Vacoas, the MSM-PMSD-ML Alliance (aka l’Alliance Lepep) has pulled an interesting crowd. Its sympathisers would say about roughly the same amount and density which the PTr-MMM alliance has gathered at Quatre-Bornes.

Politesse
