Former magistrate sued for sexual harassment and assault
Sued for sexual harassment and assault, the former magistrate, Joy Ramphul, was found guilty on Thursday at Intermediate Court. He was fined Rs 100,000. The sentence was pronounced by the magistrates Asha Egan-Ramano, Wendy Rangan and Véronique Kwok Yin Siong Yen. The magistrate was also ordered to pay additional fine of Rs 5,000 for assault. SMS more expensive as from today, 15th January 2012
The government had announced the introduction of a tax in the price of SMS. The new tariffs are applicable as from today.
