Severe drought: Mauritius moves to phase 2 of water management
The persistent drought continues to threaten the country's water reserves, forcing authorities to step up water management measures. At a press briefing yesterday, Energy and Public Utilities Minister Patrick Assirvaden announced that the average rate of the seven major reservoirs had fallen below the critical 40% mark, reaching 39.8%.
