Flambée des prix – La baisse du prix des carburants freine son élan
Plusieurs syndicats et ONG ont manifesté contre la hausse du coût de la vie samedi dernier. Les prix continuent à augmenter, malgré l’effort du gouvernement de renverser la vapeur. La baisse du prix des carburants a quand même apporté une bouffée d’air frais aux consommateurs.

Gasoline at Rs 51.30, diesel at Rs 43.50
Since this morning, gasoline is selling at its highest price ever achieved at the gas stations in Mauritius - Rs 51.30 per liter; it’s an increase on Rs 2.80 (+5.8%) of its price previous Rs 48.50. Meanwhile, the price of diesel has been increased on Rs 3.60 (+9.0%) and stood at Rs 43.50 per liter.

Fuel price review is possible in mid-March
The price of oil on the world market continues to fluctuate. Sometimes it is $99.58 a barrel, or $102 or $107.95, or $112.57. On Wednesday, it was $114.89 a barrel, the highest level in two years.
