The pump price of fuel undergoes a sharp increase. The essence password to Rs 52.25 per liter and diesel Rs 43.95. The new prices were determined by the Petrol Pricing Committee (PPC) on Friday evening.

Petroleum Products: The ACIM Reiterates its Request for Detailed Information on Pricing at the Pump
On the sidelines of the meeting of the new Petroleum Pricing Committee (PPC) to technically meet early this year, the Consumers' Association of Mauritius (ACIM), which opposes any further price increase reiterates its request to the Minister of Trade and Industry to find detailed information on all the components that go into the final determination of the pump price of petroleum products, including Platts Value, since the last adjustment occurred in 2011 and the corresponding exchange rate for each consignment.
