Salary compensation: Rs 635 for those earning less than Rs 50,000
To support household purchasing power amid current economic conditions, the government has announced a monthly salary compensation of Rs 635 — equivalent to 3.7 % of the national minimum wage (Rs 17,110) — for all employees earning a base salary of less than Rs 50,000 per month.

The 14th month will be paid in two installments for salaries up to Rs 50,000, and the salary compensation has been set at Rs 610
The Special Allowance Bill also provides for the payment of a 14th month for pensioners.
