The Port Louis Maritime Employees Association (PLMEA) won with 742 votes. Employees of the Cargo Handling Corporation chose this union to represent entity with management for one year. The referendum, which was held over two days, ended this Thursday, March 6.

8,000 Containers in the Port
The Mauritius Container Terminal (MCT) accommodates vessels containing 8,000 containers at the dock. Dredging are underway to make this project materializes in the near future. The work carried out by the Mauritius Ports Authority (MPA), will end by December 2016.
