Le nouvel ambassadeur de la République de Chine, Li Li, a promis à la ministre de la Sécurité sociale, Sheila Bappoo, de porter haut sur son agenda la mise en oeuvre du projet de création d’une université pour les personnes âgées basée sur le modèle chinois. Higher Education: New Universities on the Horizon
The construction of five new campuses across the country was announced in 2010. However, till date, no construction site is in view. The Ministry of Tertiary Education reassures that the construction of three campuses namely in Pamplemousses, Réduit and Montagne Blanche will start this year in July.

Éducation : les écoles fermées ce vendredi
Tous les établissements scolaires pré-primaires, primaires, secondaires ainsi que les centres de formation du MITD seront fermés ce vendredi, suite à des prévisions météorologiques émises par la station de Vacoas à 16h30 jeudi, a précisé le ministère de l’Education. Ces prévisions font mention d’averses fortes et orageuses devenant plus fréquentes vendredi matin avec un risque d’accumulation d’eau dans certaines régions de l’île.
