The official launch of the Open University of Mauritius will take place within a week. Simultaneously, registration for the course will be open. They cost between 25% and 75% cheaper than those offered by universities already established.

The success rate for School Certificate in 2012 is 75.74%, or one point lower than in 2011. Once again, these are the girls that have the best performance with 81% success rate whereas boys are stagnating at 69.64%.

Education: Admission Prevok Ends Friday
The Ministry of Education informs in a statement that it is currently admitted in class (pre-vocational Prevok) of students who failed their first attempt CPE exams in 2012. 20 000 tablettes aux collégiens
C’est décidé ! 20 000 tablettes tactiles seront remises aux collégiens de Form IV et aux éducateurs fréquentant 157 institutions scolaires de Maurice et de Rodrigues. Le ministère de l’Éducation a lancé un Market Sounding Exercise dont l’objectif est d’inviter ceux intéressés par le projet à entamer le dialogue avec le ministère de l’Éducation. Ils ont jusqu’au 31 janvier pour le faire.

After CPE: Prevocational Sector this Year
Nothing is lost for students who failed the examinations for the Certificate of Primary Education (CPE). The Ministry of Education gives them the opportunity this year to continue their studies in the prevocational sector (Prevok). They can take the CPE exams in 2013.
