Les travaux de tout-à-l’égout à Quatre-Bornes dans le cadre du Lot 2 du Plaines-Wilhems Sewerage Project (PWSP) atteignent une nouvelle étape avec des excavations qui ont débuté, il y a une semaine, sur le côté droit de la route St-Jean, à sa jonction avec l’avenue Surat jusqu’à celle de l’avenue Draper, en direction de La Louise. De ce fait, une voie restera fermée sur ce tronçon pour environ six semaines.

Pêche clandestine : une dizaine de bateaux étrangers interceptés
“La situation est devenue insoutenable dans nos eaux territoriales. En ce moment, il y a plusieurs navires sur nos bancs. Ils n’ont pas de permis de pêche mais ils pêchent quand même, surtout la nuit. La pêche clandestine est devenue chose courante actuellement. A Maurice, il n’y a pas assez d’effectifs pour surveiller nos eaux. Ce n’est qu’en 2014 que le pays va se doter d’un bateau dernier cri mais entre-temps, ces navires clandestins sont en train de faire des ravages.” C’est ce qu’a déclaré Hemraz Ghina, directeur général du National Cold Storage (NCS), au Matinal.

La première phase du boulevard périphérique (“Ring Road”) est presque complétée à 90 % et les travaux vont se terminer en janvier prochain. Presque toutes les voies sont asphaltées. Lors d’une visite guidée sur les lieux, lundi, on a pu constater qu’il reste seulement à faire le marquage, installer des lampadaires et asphalter certaines routes.
