This is what we might call an operation carried out efficiently. Tuesday, March 11, it took only four hours to the Environment police for four regions and cross track motorists whose vehicles emit too much carbon dioxide.

Alcootest : 13 Nouveaux Appareils en 2014
La police sera mieux équipée pour lutter contre l’alcool au volant à partir de 2014. Des démarches sont en cours pour faire l’acquisition de 13 nouveaux appareils, notamment ‘Evidential Breath Analyzer’ et ‘Alcohol Breath Testing Apparatus’, qui permettront à la police d’effectuer des tests d’alcoolémie un peu partout à travers le pays.

La magistrate Yashumatee Gopaul, siégeant en cour de district de Pamplemousses, a trouvé coupable un automobiliste sous deux charges : « Offence of Parking motor vehicle on a double yellow line, in breach of Regulations 72 (2) (f) and 125 of the Road Traffic Regulations 2010 (ii) having on 4th September 2010, wilfully and unlawfully molested a police officer, who was in the performance of his public duty. » L’accusé aurait répondu « mo p… ar toi, pran to contravention » quand il s’est fait interpeller par un policier.

Penalty Points: 28 Drivers Sanctioned During the Weekend
28 drivers will have points deducted as 'penalty points system'. This after officers from the Divisional Unit Supporting the Divisional Traffic Police Division and the Southern Police Environment led a crackdown operation at Rose-Belle and New France. Un Policier Ivre Impliqué dans un Accident
Samedi soir, aux alentours de minuit trente, un policier qui aurait été en état d’ivresse a fait un accident de la route tout près du poste de police de Vallée Pitot. La partie avant gauche de sa voiture a percuté violemment la partie arrière droite de celle d’un policier affecté au même poste de police. Celle-ci a dû être remorquée.
