25 000 Tonnes of Raw Sugar Imported
Mauritius will have to import 25,000 tonnes of raw sugar from Brazil in July to offset a deficit in production of 25,309 tons of sugar. The country has no other choice but to import raw sugar in order to fulfill its commitments with the European countries.
