Attentat à la pudeur sur sa fille
Un maçon de 34 ans se retrouve dans de sales draps. Vendredi, il a été condamné à un an de prison par la magistrate Kesnaytee Bissoonauth, de la cour intermédiaire, qui l’a trouvé coupable sous quatre accusations d’attentat à la pudeur sur sa fille. Les délits ont été commis entre 2006 et 2008 à route Bassin, Quatre-Bornes, Belle-Rose et Cité Barkly, Beau-Bassin. La fillette était alors âgée de 10 ans la première fois que cela s’est passé.

Vol – Amende pour le laboureurRs 150 000. Tel est le montant de l’amende que la présidente de la cour intermédiaire, Véronique Kwok Yin Siong Yen, a infligée à un laboureur. Cet homme de 36 ans, habitant Dagotière, a été trouvé coupable de vol et de « unauthorised access to computer data ». Le délit s’est produit en avril 2010. Le laboureur avait volé la carte bancaire d’un septuagénaire. Il l’avait utilisée à quatre reprises pour effectuer des retraits de Rs 5 000. En cour, le laboureur a plaidé coupable et a exprimé ses regrets.
