FORIP : pour une meilleure production de la canne
La canne à sucre demeure toujours un important pilier de l’économie et une source de revenus pour des milliers de familles mauriciennes. L’Etat a mis en place le Field Operations, Regrouping and Irrigation Project (FORIP) afin d’aider les petits planteurs d’augmenter davantage leur production. Le FORIP permet une meilleure production de la canne à sucre à travers le dépierrage et autres techniques de producitivité. Selon les estimations, les couts de produire la canne à sucre baissent de 20% à 25% grâce à ce projet. La productivité est aussi améliorée par 20% afin d’être compétitif sur le marché mondial.
