Resul Pookutty to provide scholarship to three FTII students
Sound engineer Resul Pookutty, who won an Oscar for Best Sound Mixing for Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire in 2009, has collaborated with IIFA Foundation to provide three new scholarships to students from Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune. Pookutty launched the Resul Pookutty-IIFA Foundation which will provide annual scholarship worth $5,000 (Rs.224,000) in 2010, to promote the budding technical talent in the Indian film industry.
