After establishing City Sports and Nike stores in Mauritius, City Sport (Maurice) Ltd has set up the first Guess fashion brand store on the island. The launch was held on January 28 at Jumbo Commercial Centre in Phoenix.

Indian sculptor carves monument on slavery at Le Morne
Rajivanayan Pandey, dean of the Faculty Arts and Crafts College of Fine Arts and in charge of the sculpture department at the University of Lucknow, India, carved a stone monument in the 'Monument International sur la route des esclaves’ square. It is located at the foot of Le Morne mountain, in front of the public beach.

Bérenger maintains Medpoint clinic
During his weekly press conference on January 28, the leader of the Opposition, Paul Bérenger, described the acquisition of Medpoint Clinic as the “scandal of the century”.
