Les lieux de culte de Port-Louis dans l’offre touristique mauricienne
La richesse culturelle des lieux de culte à l’île Maurice peut être un atout pour l’industrie touristique. C’est dans cet esprit que l’Office du Tourisme de l’île Maurice et le Conseil des Religions ont démarré un projet conjoint pour mettre en avant la valeur historique et culturelle des lieux de culte de l’île Maurice. La MTPA et le COR ont ainsi organisé, à l’intention des DMC et des tour-opérateurs de l’île Maurice deux jours de formation, les 18 et 19 janvier, pour les familiariser davantage avec ces produits niche et définir des « packages » appropriés. Projet de raffinerie envisagé pour Maurice
Le pays vise gros. Il est prévu de construire une raffinerie de pétrole à Maurice. Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) a demandé au gouvernement mauricien de faire une étude de faisabilité pour savoir si le pays peut abriter une raffinerie de pétrole. D’ici peu, des officiers iront en mission à la maison mère de la MRPL afin de connaître les conditions requises pour avoir une raffinerie. La vision est de faire de Maurice un hub pétrolier.
